The Southern Quill, Dixie State University’s Literary Arts Publication, seeks currently enrolled DSU students for the following editorial positions:
• Managing Editor • Creative Nonfiction Editor • Fiction Editor • Poetry Editor • Visual Arts Editor • Young Writers Editor • Layout/Design Editor (working knowledge of InDesign required for this position)
All Editors are required to enroll in ENGL 3890 (Journal Publishing/Southern Quill – 3 credit hours) in the Spring 2020 semester. Editors may receive a scholarship as compensation for their work. Scholarships will be determined by eligibility. The scholarship cannot exceed full in-state tuition.
Applicants should submit a one-page cover letter that includes:
• Name (First and Last) • Contact Information • Desired Editorial Position
• Rank (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior) • Major (we are seeking students from all disciplines/majors) • Applicable Coursework and/or Qualifications
