The newest issue of The Southern Quill is officially released! Our launch party not only featured the new issue, but a delicious cake, The Southern Quill T-shirts, and readings from this year's contributors at the English Collaborative Lounge at Dixie State University.
Congratulations to all who were published and especially to those who won scholarship awards!
The winner of the Annie Atkin Tanner Memorial Poetry Scholarship was Ashley Imlay, followed by Braxton Thornley as first runner-up, and Eva Sanchez as second runner-up.
If you weren't able to pick up a copy, they are still available for sale. You can find them at Dixie State University--just look for our table throughout the semester, visit Dixie State's Bookstore at the Gardner Center, or stop by the English department's faculty offices. You can also purchase a copy online here on our website by visiting the "Submit" tab and clicking the submit button. It will take you to our Submittable website, through which you can purchase a copy or a Southern Quill T-shirt down at the bottom of the page.
Keep an eye out later this fall for updates on when next year's submissions open. We're very excited and proud to be in circulation for over 60 years, and we need your voices and artistry to continue this tradition.
Hope to hear more from all of you!
